The Dave Gorman Show: Sunday mornings, 10 til noon on Absolute Radio
I started presenting the show in October 2009 and I finished in November 2012. I'm pretty sure that makes it the longest I've ever held down a job.
Being live radio the show changed shape from week to week - we had some regular features while others came and went but it all grew organically. The most permanent fixtures were Danielle Ward's cultural review - Ward's Weekly Word -and 'found poetry' from yours truly.
My co-hosts for most of the run were Danielle Ward and Martin White although by the end of the run, Michael Legge had become a part of the team too. And we had various guest presenters covering when people were away. But the show was never about us... it only really worked because we cultivated an audience of smart and funny people. I'll always be proud that we did a two hour radio show on a Sunday morning on the subject of existential self-doubt. It was a funny show, that one.
The show's website has lots more information...
The podcast for the show contains all of the talky bits from the live show plus heaps of extras... so many that we ended up creating an extra midweek podcast to enable us to squeeze more in. The Sunday Podcast and the Someday Podcast are both free to download.
